God did give us a 7^th day to rest.  Resting will not only refresh your physical body, but a mental retreat might be just what you need to develop your goals and clarity of what you are hoping to accomplish.  When taking a break, use the contrast of relaxing to determine what’s working and what’s not.  Of course, you will want to focus on the positives and increase their frequency dramatically, but an easy way to release tension from the things that didn’t work is to find humor in them.  Sometimes it’s best to step away, because it’s hard to see the whole picture when you are inside of it. 

A brief holiday can be the most productive thing that you can do for your business.  If you have a family, you need their support to maintain your strong pace and if you are constantly working and spending less time with your loved ones, your desire for self growth can be overtaking the overall goal for an improved life. 

Recently, I went on a vacation – refused to do little with my business, played with my kids, spent time with family, and I came back to have the most energized and productive week that I’ve had in a long time!   This is the benefit of a vacation.
